California Fruit Update
California summer fruit is just around the corner! With anticipated early fruit to start April 26-28th - May 2-4th and most early growers starting May 5-10th. Peaches first followed by Nectarines, Apricots, and Plums May 15th to 28th.
Cherries should start with a few April 28, and more shippers starting May 5th, and by the 10th volume should start to pick up. The first cherries will be in demand for export and command the higher prices and supplies. We should see better volume by the 15th.
California Blueberries expected to start May 5-10th, limited early supplies coming from “hoop grown” and open field volume following 7-10 days later.
